The practice team

How many doctors are there?

• We have a dedicated team of 15 GPs.
• Each GP has their own areas of interest, and more information is available on the website team page.

What health care professionals work at the practice?

• Our wider team is made up of the following professionals:
  • Nursing team
  • Pharmacy Team
  • Physiotherapist
  • Mental health practitioners
  • Social prescribers
  • Care coordinator with interest in safeguarding
  • Dementia care coordinator
• We also work closely with our voluntary sector organisations.

What other teams work at the practice?

Care coordinators

• These were traditionally known as receptionist, but their role is extremely diverse looking after all the front-line needs of our patients.
• They have a wide working knowledge and undergo significant training to support our patients.
  Medical secretaries
• A team of medical secretaries manage all of our referrals and the electronic systems related to the hospital.
• They also help to manage our private medical work such as reports and claim forms.
  Data quality team
• You may never see this team, but they have an important role in ensuring all the documents that we receive are coded and added to your medical records.
• They support our safeguarding work and help with general quality of data on our medical records.

Admin team

• This team ensure that systems are in place for recalling for all chronic health conditions, organising blood forms and long-term care.

Leadership team

• Our leadership team is made up of our dedicated practice managers Emma Keating and Sarah Wilkinson as well as the six GP partners.
• The care coordinators are led by Emma Balgue who has years of experience in working with staff and patients to offer the highest quality of care.
• We also have other team leaders who support the different teams above.
