The Practice Team
How many doctors are there?
- We have a dedicated team of 15 GPs.
- Each GP has their own areas of interest, and more information is available on the website team page.
What health care professionals work at the practice?
- Our wider team is made up of the following professionals:
- Nursing team
- Pharmacy Team
- Physiotherapist
- Mental health practitioners
- Social prescribers
- Care coordinator with interest in safeguarding
- Dementia care coordinator
- We also work closely with our voluntary sector organisations.
What other teams work at the practice?
Care coordinators
- These were traditionally known as receptionist, but their role is extremely diverse looking after all the front-line needs of our patients.
- They have a wide working knowledge and undergo significant training to support our patients.
Medical secretaries - A team of medical secretaries manage all of our referrals and the electronic systems related to the hospital.
- They also help to manage our private medical work such as reports and claim forms.
Data quality team - You may never see this team, but they have an important role in ensuring all the documents that we receive are coded and added to your medical records.
- They support our safeguarding work and help with general quality of data on our medical records.
Admin team
- This team ensure that systems are in place for recalling for all chronic health conditions, organising blood forms and long-term care.
Leadership team
- Our leadership team is made up of our dedicated practice managers Emma Keating and Sarah Wilkinson as well as the six GP partners.
- The care coordinators are led by Emma Balgue who has years of experience in working with staff and patients to offer the highest quality of care.
- We also have other team leaders who support the different teams above.
