Total Triage

Appointments at Strayside Health can be requested by patients or their carers completing an eConsult. This reduces demand on our telephone system and allows patients to communicate with us at a time that is convenient to them. The comprehensive and confidential information you provide will be reviewed by a clinician within 48 hours (usually same day) and allows us to:
- Arrange an appointment with one of our allied health professionals where appropriate, such as our Nursing Team, Clinical Pharmacists, Social Prescribers, Health and Wellbeing Coach, Musculoskeletal practitioners and Mental Health Practitioner
- Send you a link to make if a GP appointment is required, so you can choose an appointment at a time convenient for you
- Arrange necessary tests/investigations prior to your appointment to maximise the value of your appointment
You can also complete eConsults for medication and administrative queries such as referrals and medical notes. These will be directed to the appropriate team.
Please be reassured that those with problems requiring a more urgent response will be highlighted to us by the eConsult system and be reviewed in a timely manner.
To contact us:
- complete an eConsult from 8am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday
- If you are unable to access the internet please phone us on 01423 566 574 or visit the surgery to speak to our Care Co-ordinator Team during our opening hours. Our team will take the all the information that is needed to allow us to triage your appointment request or query.
When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.
We’ll use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.
Some appointments may be possible by telephone, but if we need to see you face-to-face (to examine you) we will indicate this in the appointment invite.

Late For Your Appointment
Please attend your appointment on time. We operate on a 10-minute rule, whereby if you are more than 10 minutes late we will be required to check with the clinician as to whether they are still able to see you. Unfortunately, there may be times when we will have to reschedule your appointment.
