Proactive care to keep us healthy was one of the original aims when the NHS was set up. Our vaccine program will hopefully help support this.
What vaccinations have I had?
- You should be able to access your vaccination history through the NHS app.
- If you need additional information about vaccines, you can request an electronic copy of your vaccination record, or we can print out a list. The easiest way to request this is send an administrative E consult to the practice.
- All NHS vaccines should appear on your medical records.
Am I due any vaccines?
- The practice has a detailed recall system which identifies patients who are due any vaccines.
- We will always contact you when you are due a new vaccine.
- The national vaccine programme does change quite frequently and sometimes there are quite complicated rules around who can have what vaccine at what age. We will always advise you when you are due one.
Children’s vaccinations
- The NHS has a clear vaccination programme for all children.
- These vaccines are very important to reduce the risk of your child developing potentially very serious conditions.
- In the past there has been some negative publicity around certain vaccinations which was incorrect. We understand that some parents can be concerned about this but there is very useful information on the NHS website about vaccine safety.
- The risks of vaccine complications are always many times lower risk than the potential complications of the infection itself.
Adult vaccinations
- There are many vaccines adults are now eligible for at certain age groups. We will always let you know when you are due any.
- These may include:
- Flu vaccination
- Pneumonia vaccination
- Shingles vaccination
- RSV vaccination
- COVID vaccination
How do I get travel vaccinations?

- Please allow plenty of time to book in for an appointment in the Travel clinic.
- Some vaccinations are covered by the NHS, but a number may have to be purchased privately.
