Planning a pregnancy
If you are planning a pregnancy, or already pregnant, and need more health care information, please visit the NHS website:
Self-referral to midwifery services
Community midwives work within our medical centre and see and support our pregnant women throughout their pregnancy.
To self-refer to the midwifery team, please use the link on the Harrogate hospital website:

Medication before and during pregnancy
Most medicines taken during pregnancy cross the placenta and reach the baby.
If you are taking medication and are planning a pregnancy, or have recently found out that you are pregnant, please submit an eConsult so that we can advise you further.
If you are taking medication that is currently supervised by a hospital specialist and are thinking about conceiving, please discuss your plans with them in your next appointment.
